Powered By The Local Community & Fuelled By The Travellers Of The World

Who We Are

At Peak Expeditions Tanzania, we’re all about sharing our love for Mount Kilimanjaro and the community around it. Raymond and Barnabas, the heart and soul of our team, have been helping people climb the mountain for over 30 years combined. They grew up in Arusha, right next to Kilimanjaro, and have spent their lives surrounded by its beauty and the incredible people who live here.

With a passion for showing travelers from all over the world what makes Kilimanjaro so special, they started Peak Expeditions Tanzania. But it’s not just about guiding people to the summit, it’s about sharing stories, culture, and a deep connection to this place we call home.

We’re proud to support our local community in every way we can. From buying fresh food at Arusha’s markets to working with local businesses for our printed gear, we keep it local. And beyond that, a portion of what we earn goes toward giving back, like providing books and school supplies to kids in our community. Raymond and Barnabas dream of helping create a brighter future for the next generation of Tanzanian children, inspired by the mountain that’s always been part of their lives.

With years of experience and a whole lot of heart, we’re here to make your Kilimanjaro climb unforgettable. Join us, and not only will you experience one of the most amazing adventures in the world, but you’ll also be part of something bigger, helping support the community that makes this place so special.

What Drives Us

We are proud to invest in the people of Arusha and beyond, sourcing fresh food from local markets, partnering with nearby businesses, and using part of our profits to support local schools with essential supplies.

Supporting The Local Community

Your safety is our top priority. From well-trained guides to carefully planned routes and high-quality equipment, we ensure every climb is as secure as it is unforgettable.

Commitment To Safety

We believe in protecting the beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro. We practice Leave No Trace principles, minimize our environmental impact, and encourage every climber to do the same.

Environmental Stewardship

Sharing our knowledge is just as important as guiding you to the summit. We take pride in teaching climbers about the history, culture, and ecology of Kilimanjaro, creating a deeper connection to this incredible place.
